Here are the most frequently asked questions about Flat Six Aviation's Cirrus SR20 aircraft flying group.

 

Why has the group been formed?

To get together a small number of like - minded pilots that will look after and enjoy flying the fabulous SR20. We also hope that the members of the group will become friends and fly with each other from time to time.

What does no equity mean?

You do not have to buy a share as ownership will remain with Flat Six Aviation Ltd. Your responsibility is just to contribute to the fix costs and hourly charge for all the hours you fly.

How much experience do I need?

We need to ensure you are accepted by our insurers. The Cirrus is a fast complex aircraft so we need a certain level of experience and this will be discussed with each individual member.

What about the check out?

You will need to carry out a checkout in three sessions which will normally take around 3 hours subject to your experience and reaching a satisfactory standard. We will discuss with you individually about your recency, but we expect you to fly at least every 60 days.

How do I book the aircraft?

We use an online booking system called aircraftbookingsystem.com. By arrangement you can book the aircraft for periods greater than one day to make longer trips.

How many members will we have?

Our aim is to keep the group small so that there is plenty of availability for everyone to fly.
